The journey of the bag

Our great and above all unique products of the Gusti Leder nature collection are mainly made from goat leather from free-range goats in India. Small family businesses with a maximum of 15 people then process the leather into our great products in several steps. First, the leather is tanned in the traditional way with tannins from the bark of the Babool tree. Then the leather is dyed and greased with oil, using only pure vegetable oils and completely avoiding chrome salts.

Our mission

Our goal is to create something unique out of a passion for the wonderful material leather and to do so under fair conditions. Our highest priority is to secure the livelihood of the producers and their families, as well as to exclude child labor. India is one of the countries where child labor is widespread, and many under 15-year-olds financially support their families, but with our producers, there is a strict ban on child labor. For this reason, every production facility signs a contract. Additionally, our CEO Christian Pietsch visits the production facility several times a year unannounced.

Fairness and transparency instead of child labor
