If a violation is detected during our inspections, penalties will be imposed as specified in the contract. Violations include, for example, if an employee in the tannery does not wear gloves. In such a case, the producer must pay a fine of €75 per person who violated the agreement. If a child under the age of 15 is seen working at a production site, the producer must pay a fine of €2,000. Furthermore, we will suspend our orders with this producer for two months. With this, we also aim to encourage our competitors to control their production in various ways, ensuring that the issues are genuinely resolved and not just deferred.
